Interview, screen and recruit patients for clinical trials.

Explain study procedures and educate patients/family/staff regarding research studies.

Interview and obtain informed consent from patients/legally authorized representative for research protocols.

Obtain history.

Access patients' medical/lab/radiology records.

Access data (e.g., demographic information and laboratory results, etc.) from computers and units.

Access to clinics and medical floors/units/ED/OR to screen patients or follow up on study related requirements.

Perform monitoring of research patients.

Assist with in-service of personnel involved in study patients' care regarding studies, research protocols and results of trials.

Centrifuge and prepare samples for processing and/or shipping.

Administer study or questionnaire/outcome assessment tool.

Document study enrollment in progress notes (electronic or paper).

Organize follow-up related to studies.

Obtain, verify, input data for database needs.

Attend research planning meetings.
