This role interacts with applicants, students, faculty, staff, Student Affairs Offices, and Academic Affairs for all issues pertaining to the processing of student enrollment. Works with all other office staff to ensure the achievement of the Registrar’s Mission Statement.The main focus of this position will be in registering both medical and dental school students in the proper courses to achieve their degrees. You will work with students throughout their academic career at UTHealth. The employee partners with student and academic affairs. You play an instrumental part in setting up course schedules and making sure the appropriate students are in them. There will also be some compliance reporting responsibilities as well.This is a full time role that will work in the Registrar's office inside our University Center Tower. It is eligible for all benefits from UTHealth including low cost healthcare options and a pension plan run by the State of Texas. This role is classified as non-exempt.Position Key Accountabilities:

Provides exceptional customer service daily to every person that reaches out to the Registrar’s Office.

Makes recommendations to the Registrar or Associate Registrars regarding business process improvements to stay up to date with enrollment and registration best practices.

Performs data entry and data maintenance for applicants, students and alumni in the university’s student system.

Provides accurate and timely application and registration information to the university community.

Reports and maintains student status data to external and internal agents.

Responsible for the daily processing of certification of enrollment and/or verifications – manual and online.

Processes admissions documents and verifies receipt of transcripts and degrees (as noted on application) for entering students.

Assists with grade posting and changes as needed.

Processes class updates and schedule changes as requested.

Maintains official student records via the document management system.

Assists in graduation process, including but is not limited to, processing and tracking degree applications, name changes, correspondence with students in reference to degree audit and proof-reading diplomas

Assists Associate Registrar with system setup for course registration.

Assists academic admissions staff during peak admissions cycles.

Performs other duties as assigned.
