Administrator with management and general supervision, direction, and support

of the daily operations of the clinic in accordance with established policies,

procedures and standards. They are responsible for ICD and pacemaker device

interrogation, testing, and diagnostic interpretation. Is cross-trained and

assists in other areas of arrhythmia services as needed.Key Responsibilities

Coordinatesclinic activities and schedules personnel to ensure efficiency and qualityservice is delivered within all sections of the clinic.

Provides workflow and support tothe clinical staff, assists the manager with identifying operationalissues, and provides guidance for resolution.

Works with individual clinicmanagement and medical staff, to evaluate, monitor and enforce clinicspecific protocols, procedures and objectives; maintains compliance withfederal/state regulations and standards.

Ensures charging/ reimbursementchanges are integrated into every level of clinic operations bycoordinating with the clinic team.

Serves as the point of contactfor patient and external customer complaints.Investigates and reconciles complaintsrelating to practice operations.

Assists thePractice Manager to facilitate training of new hires, reoccurringtraining, and other training initiatives.

Participates with the clinicmanagement in pre-employment interviews and makes recommendationsregarding hiring. May also be responsible for hiring positions in area ofresponsibility.

Monitors utilization of staff andsupplies in assigned areas, and recommends appropriate adjustments to staywithin budget guidelines while constantly improving the quality of healthcare.

Monitors compliance withpolicies, implements plans and recommends revisions as needed.

Monitors and maintains licensurecertification requirements for assigned staff.

Perform clinicalanalysis of pacemaker and ICD patients in the clinic.

Perform ICDchecks and pacemaker interrogations.

Documentpacemaker/ICD checks into the electronic medical record and reports allfindings to the health care provider.

Test andconfigures devices to specifications established by a physician or otherhealth care provider.

Enroll andeducate new patients into remote monitoring system.

Escalatenon-routine issues to the practice manager or physician.

Communicate withphysicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes inpatient's clinical and device conditions.

Performsother duties as assigned.

Job Requirements / Qualifications Education / Accreditation / Licensure

(required & preferred):

High schooldiploma or equivalent required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) orAdvanced Care Life Support (ACLS) required.

Graduate from one of thefollowing healthcare educational programs: IBHRE, Certified MedicalAssistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse,Emergency Medical Technician, or Bachelor or Associate degree in biology,human physiology, healthcare or equivalent required.

Experience (required and preferred):

4 years experiencein device management and device compliance work required.

2 – 4 years ofleading and supervisingrequired
