Position Summary Work as a member of an Engineering Team in our Residential HVAC business unit to develop innovative HVAC products and technology. Engineering Teams include Product Development, Value Analysis/Value Engineering, Component Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Advanced Technology, Control System Software Engineering, Control System Engineering, Control System Hardware Engineering, and Diagnostics teams.

Co-op Opportunities available: Spring-only, Spring/Summer, Summer/Fall and Fall-only semester co-ops

Major responsibilities may include:
  • Product 3-D design and modeling (Pro/E)
  • Component/system analysis such as refrigerant cycle simulations
  • Component and system testing and data analysis / review
  • Oversee sample prototyping and qualification testing of products
  • Support product design, productivity, and product quality projects
  • Component and system testing and data analysis / review
  • Conduct software and hardware testing of embedded controls
  • Circuit design and analysis
  • Agile software maintenance and development

Key competencies may include:
  • Good computer skills, experience with MS Office products
  • Experience with CAD (preferably ProEngineer), as applicable
  • Experience with commercial engineering software (e.g. MatLab, Altium, Multisim, etc.), as applicable
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g. C, Ruby, Python, etc.), as applicable
  • Experience with electrical lab equipment (oscilloscope, soldering, etc.), as applicable
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Must have good conflict management skills and demonstrate versatility in personal interaction
  • Results oriented individual with emphasis on overall team performance

Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a bachelors, masters, or PhD degree with a cumulative overall GPA at or above 3.0
  • U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
