This Designer III will design residential outdoor HVAC equipment using the 3D modeling tool CREO and create and maintain existing system and sub-system models and BOMs. This role requires strong communication skills to collaborate with both engineering and production teams.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Use 3D modeling tool CREO to design, modify and maintain residential outdoor HVAC systems and sub-systems including cabinetry, tubing and other components.
  • Design parts and assemblies to optimize functionality, cost, manufacturability, assembly, installation, service and end of life recyclability.
  • Create, modify, and maintain system and sub-system BOMs
  • Work with engineering and production to resolve manufacturability or reliability issues with existing designs and implement solutions
  • Continuous improvement

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree related to technical design or drafting preferred
  • Proficient in 3D modeling Tool (Creo or Solidworks preferred)
  • Experience with routing tubing and wiring preferred

Key Competencies:
  • Able to function as a team member on cross-functional product engineering teams and deliver on select design elements for projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills - ability to communicate and collaborate up, down, and across the global organization
  • Strong proficiency with 3D modeling tool such as CREO or Solid Works
  • Quickly and efficiently understands and organizes information necessary to make engineering decisions
  • Results oriented individual with an emphasis placed on achieving overall team performance
