LH04 - Warehouse Supervisor

A building / construction supply company in Tyler, TX 75701 is looking for a warehouse supervisor immediately. This is a temporary permanent position offering a starting pay of $15 hourly. Schedule is Monday thru Friday from 7 AM to 4:40 PM and some overtime is available based on workload.Non-climate-controlled work environment / NO AC and you will be expected to go in and out of the warehouse.

Supervise a small staff of warehouse employees (other material handlers, forklift operators, order pullers, packers and shippers etc.)

Delegate, print out order sheets for pullers and check for accuracy before final staging and shipment

Assist with loading and unloading of various construction materials, as well as stocking, shelving and cycle counting

Warehouse organization and clean-up of work areas

Receive trucks of deliveries and enter information into the database for inventory

Needing dependable employees who can be productive at work every day – leading the team by example

Operate the forklift move heavy boxes or pallets

Hold self and team accountable for completing all tasks and general maintenance of machines and equipment within the warehouse

Able to push, pull, bend, stoop, carry, lift heavy loads up to 70 lbs and perform physical labor work, stand on your feet for the duration of the shift (8+ hours daily)

Must have steel-toe shoes / boots

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Lead or Supervisory experience of at least 2 years

Effective communication skills and able to lead the team by example

Extensive experience in warehouse functions (pick/pack, load/unload, shipping/receiving, inventory/cycle counting, material handling, warehouse organization)

Able to operate a sit-down forklift

Current / updated RESUME is required
