Procurement representative supporting the RHVAC SBU and Trenton facility regarding Productivity, Supply Assurance and NPD activities. Leader/Support representative of all productivity projects, assisting with the business case development, project timeline, qualification and phase-in/phase-out to launch projects successfully. Regarding NPDs, involvement includes supplier selection (alignment with Category team strategies), securing quotes and negotiating to meet the SBUs needs, and alignment on timing to ensure NPDs launch meeting QDC targets. Aligning with Category teams on the overall supplier strategies. Site support to ensure supply assurance and drive closure to material escalations with our suppliers. This role requires the individual to be agile, dynamic, work with teams both onsite & virtual, take on & overcome challenges, solve problems & prevent them from re-occurring, identify opportunities for growth and be someone that everyone wants to work with. Responsibilities:

Project leader responsible for multiple Procurement projects (source change, VAVE, quality improvements), working with cross-functional teams and standard work to build and execute project implementation plans for productivity and continuous improvement projects.

Responsible for coordinating with category teams, materials, operations, engineering, finance, quality and field operations to complete projects and achieve expected benefits within project timeframe.

Partner with Category teams to assist with project charters, benefits and resource requirements. Active participant in SBU/Plant productivity gate reviews ensuring that required cross-functional resources are allocated to execute projects as outlined.

Responsible for driving & monitoring active projects, updating status/timing, eliminating roadblocks, and escalating issues as appropriate.

Investigate, coordinate/take action and communicate project changes. Create and make revisions to project schedules, business cases, risk assessments and other project management tools. Create and conduct presentations for project approvals and monthly status.

Identify gaps to goals and collaboratively develop and support countermeasures and activities to close the gap and exceed targets.

Manage reporting of Procurement financial metrics (forecast and actual) including productivity and inflation for responsible plants or projects. Support the development of the Annual Operating Plan for productivity projects, targets and initiatives. Support standard cost setting process for responsible plants.

Support Category team goals by leading and executing supplier rationalization, quality and delivery improvement projects. Work to align strategies between Category & SBU localization, plant rationalization and similar.

Coordinate continuous improvement ideation sessions for responsible plants. Generate and evaluate new ideas and opportunities aligned with plant priorities and strategies.

Participate and represent Procurement function during plant or product Value Analyze/Value Engineer (VAVE) or Major Model Review (MMR) events. Responsible for collecting and communicating Category actions following the event and developing ideas/business cases with sufficient documentation to begin project

Support Strategic Business Unit as the Procurement representative on NPDs respective of the site where the products will be built. This includes strategic sourcing with PSL suppliers, price/term negotiation, alignment on timing to achieve key milestones and ultimately launching to meet our QDC (Quality, Delivery & Cost) targets.

Lead/assist with material escalations at the plant to mitigate part shortages with suppliers. This includes driving the tactical operation of shortages up to requesting capital to overcome capacity constraints.

Qualifications:

BA/BS/ME degree in Business or Engineering with a minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience.

5 to 10 years experience.

Minimum of 6 years of experience working in a diversified industrial company in the areas of Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Finance and/or Operations.

Strong analytic skills (business cases, timelines, PIPO plans, etc.).

Working knowledge of sig sigma tools and lean manufacturing a plus.

Experience in International sourcing experience a plus.

Experience in virtual environments.

Experience in supplier development, materials management and or supplier quality.

Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint Expertise.

Experience running complex projects simultaneously with cross-functional teams and managing multiple tasks.

Ability to travel up to 15%.

Problem Solving—Identifies/anticipates potential problems, supports root cause analysis, evaluates robustness of corrective action plan and oversees plan implementation.

Relationship Management – Creates collaborative environment with cross-functional partners, assures regular/appropriate two-way communication flow, and builds/maintains relationship with industry peers and suppliers.

This position has responsibilities for procurement involving products affecting Trenton, NJ, and Vidalia, GA, with support of activities in Tyler, TX.
