Job Description
We are seeking an experienced
Project Managerto manage large-scale commercial projects varying from building ground-up to Corporate Interiors & Tenant Improvements for our quickly expanding portfolio of high-profile clients in the Houston area. You have a chance to be a key player in our technological future, as part of a team of innovative professionals shaping our built environment. Job Objectives:- Preparing Project Management reports for all asset classes related to real estate throughout US.
- Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
- Financial management – Ensuring prompt client invoicing and utilizing financial system in order to monitor a project’s financial status.
- Project planning, including producing the detailed project plan.
- Leading and facilitating the overall cross-functional project team.
- Monitoring and applying performance management techniques.
- Managing the change control process.
- Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.
- Preparing formal project budget progress and other reports.
- Quality Control – Ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Assisting in research related to construction market conditions throughout US, including analysis of official published data.
- Assisting in developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
- Working to construct proposals for new work or variations for existing projects.
- Identifying opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates and products referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.
- Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is inputted into internal databases and shared.
- Process improvement – Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes referring ides to the appropriate line manager.
- Identifying ways in which project management products and services can be improved and referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.
- Identifying and ensuring that the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health and environment issues.
- Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout project.
- Assist with candidate interviews relevant to skillset and input into resource management.
- General line management responsibilities (where appropriate) are effectively discharged.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to take the initiative and drive activities with limited supervision. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the construction industry.
Education/Experience:- 5 - 10 years relevant experience and the ability to be highly effective in a client facing role.
- College degree.
- Membership in relevant professional organizations preferred.
- Experienced managing multiple stakeholders and work stream managers.
- Experienced managing commercial real estate, data center, high-tech, healthcare, and/or manufacturing construction projects is preferred.
