Transmission Equipment Operator- ULCS Region 112We are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Utility Lines Construction Services, Inc. team in the Transmission Construction Department.We offer excellent opportunities for career oriented individuals that want to be a part of our team. Compensation is based upon experience.Essential Functions:

Operates equipment including but not limited to a backhoe, trencher, excavator, skid steer, bull dozer, and other various types of equipment.

Operates small motorized equipment including but not limited to chain saws, jackhammers, hydraulic tools, and hand tools.

Participates in company training of all regional safety guidelines and is required to perform all work by the regional safety policies.

Works around hazardous equipment.

Works near energized parts or equipment.

Exposed to traffic and may be required to have training on traffic flagging.

Works around excessive noise from machines (backhoe, trencher, mini excavator, digger derricks, knuckle boom, jackhammers, and other equipment)

Employee can be exposed to hot and cold environments, poisonous plants or reptiles, and stinging insects.

Occasionally able to work nights, weekends and holidays for extended periods; may be required to perform duties as part of recovery force during emergencies and disasters.

All other duties as requested by Supervisors.

Minimum Requirements:

Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.

Operators must be experienced in backhoe, trencher, excavator, skid steer, bull dozer, and other various types of equipment.

Must be able to operate the various tools for the work (various manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers, come a long and hand line etc.)

Must have endurance necessary to perform these duties throughout a standard eight (8) or ten (10) hour day according to the schedule.

Must be able to work long hours and overtime during holidays, emergencies, weekends, etc. Subject to call out work.

Must have a valid Driver’s license.

Must pass a background check and pass a motor vehicle records check.

Must be able to pass a DOT physical in order to obtain a DOT medical card.

Current CDL preferred or willingness to receive valid CDL within 90 days of employment

Must be able to wear all PPE as necessary.

Occasionally = up to 33%

Frequently = up to 66%

Continuously = from 67% to 100%
