Responsible for the proper maintenance of all refrigeration units and temperature in all freezers, coolers, and air conditioned spaces.

Schedules needed maintenance timely and be able to communicate effectively.

Changes any motors or compressor as needed.

Maintains proper temperature in cooler and freezers.

Cleans all condenser and evaporator as needed.

Installs refrigeration to new construction.

Performs additional duties as needed.

Will also be working with Maintenance Mechanic Team as needed and will perform the following duties:

Maintains equipment and buildings for long-term use.

Tests emergency generator.

Records data from main electrical panels.

Inspects various equipment and building areas, including, but not limited to, air compressors, roof and roof-mounted equipment and sprinkler systems; record data from inspections.

Tests sprinkler system’s water flow, tamper switches and sprinkler system alarms.

Tests fire pump and alarm.

Inspects all equipment and repair or replace as necessary to avoid down time.

Inspects, lubricates and cleans condensers and evaporators.

Performs annual inspections on refrigeration compressors, including change oil and filter, disassemble compressor for internal inspection and align mechanical couplings.

Inspects and lubricates freezer and cooler doors and performs needed repairs; maintains inventory of repair parts.

Designs and constructs carpentry items requested by other departments

Responds to maintenance calls.

Repairs HVAC piping and restroom facilities as needed.

Creates and/or purchases signs; install when needed.

Maintains knowledge of systems and buildings.

Coordinates repairs and Preventive Maintenance duties with various 3 rd Party Service Providers.

Obtains quotations for larger-scale repairs and maintenance duties on Fleet and Warehouse equipment.

Issues and tracks Purchase Orders to 3 rd Party Service Providers.

Provide timely reporting information to Operations Management team within OPCO.

Performs basic troubleshooting duties and minor repairs to fleet delivery equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration (reefer) units.

Performs Preventive Maintenance (PM) Inspection duties on equipment, where qualified or allowed by FMCSA/DOT and OSHA regulations.

Maintains and repairs all building systems, including forklifts, batteries, battery chargers, HVAC equipment, refrigeration system, dock doors and ramps, sprinkler system, the roof and all electrical services
