Job Description
As an Interface Engineer II for the ITWorks team, you will implement HL7 data feeds to and from external partners into Cerner Millennium, troubleshoot and correct issues in data feeds into Millennium, and maintain data correctness in the Millennium systems the data feeds into . Along with testing, validation, and troubleshooting, you will also collaborate among and across teams to ensure issues are addressed by the appropriate individuals. You will also build and test interface design and provide interface support during implementation activities and be responsible for configuring Cerner interface and code custom interfaces, installing Cerner interfaces, as well as troubleshooting and resolving complex system interface issues. Finally, you will support interface testing during the life cycle of the project, perform complex data migration and conversion programs and test complex data migration and conversion programs.Qualifications Basic Qualifications- At least 6 years of total combined higher education and related work experience including:
- At least 1 year of system administration and/or system engineering work experience
- At least 5 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job including:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- 1 year Interface engineering work experience, Cerner CCL work experience or Cerner Open Port/Open Engine work experience
- At least 3 years of database architecture work experience
- At least 3 year of HL7, X12, IHE or comparable interface work experience
- At least 3 years building FSI interfaces using Open Port and Open Engine
- CCL scripting experience
- At least 3 years of Linux command line work experience
- At least 3 years of programming work experience
- At least 3 years of Information Technology work experience
- Must reside within 60 miles of a virtually approved city
- Travel up to 20% as needed
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
