ACCOUNTANT/FULL CHARGE BOOKKEEPER-REAL ESTATE COMPANY
$27.00/per hour
We are a Real Estate Development & Property Management Company all in house. We are looking for a Full Time Onsite Accountant/Full Charge Bookkeeper. Monday - Friday, Full-Time. Our main offices are based out of Los Angeles and we are starting a small satellite office out of Waco, TX.
Responsibilities include:
-Properly updating/using multiple QuickBooks for individual LLCs
-Identifying and recording location specific expenses
-Process Payroll for 20 Employees
-Accounts Payable
- Constant Communication with Property Manager to obtain AR reports
-Allocating Accounts Receivable per location
-Recording bank deposits into Quick Books
-Reconciling over 20 checking, savings and credit card accounts for multiple companies & Analyzing Accounts
-Preparing Monthly & Annual Reports
-Preparing Journal entries
-Preparing Yearly Financial Reports via Excel
-Assisting CPA with reports for tax preparation
-Filing and/or scanning bank statements, cash receipts and additional paperwork for paperless office
-Making sure all licenses and permits are current and updating as needed
-Allocate cash receipts per location and properly recording them in QuickBooks
-Main contact for payroll company and all HR services
-Review and properly update Employee Handbook
- Oversee Employee Compliance with Meal Breaks/Overtime
-Review Safety Manual and properly update and confirm employees have completed all needed material
-Ensure all new hires are provided proper paperwork and set up in payroll system correctly
-Ensure company is up to date on all state and national laws and regulations
-Confirm Employees have properly completed all required paperwork
-Handling Full Cycle Accounting Duties
-Research Problems and Resolve Issues
-Collecting and sorting mail as needed
-Communicate with Vendors & Answer telephones
-Purchasing office products
-Other items as they arise
The requirements for this position are:
-Clear Understanding of debits, credits & balance sheet items
-Bachelor's Degree
-5+ years experience as an Accountant/Bookkeeper with references
-Very Strong Knowledge of QuickBooks
-Must have Good Working Knowledge of Excel
-Knowledge of how to upload online Bank Statements into QuickBooks
-Ability to pass a criminal background check prior to starting
-Takes Initiative to solely handle a Task head-on; Problem Solving skills a must
-Highly Ethical - discretion and confidentiality when working with sensitive information
-Ability to take ownership of assigned work and finish it in a timely manner
-Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate
effectively with all individuals within the company as well as Vendors and outside Professionals
Day/Hours: Full-Time. Monday thru Friday ( 8:30/9:00 am to 5:00/6:00 pm).
