Diesel Mechanic
Advanced Diesel Repair - Dew, TX - is a full-service truck repair shop interviewing experienced Diesel Mechanics and shop helpers to join our growing team. Our team is currently looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to perform truck repair and maintenance work and run diagnostics on vehicles and/or a shop hand to help with oil changes, tire work, and various shop clean-up to keep our mechanics moving.
The Diesel Mechanic would be responsible for the following duties:
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing Medium / Heavy Duty Trucks and Diesel Equipment
- Repair engine accessory components, steering, suspensions, brake systems, electrical, hydraulic
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance
- Perform road tests for diagnosis of customer’s complaints and verification of repair
- Document all work performed and list recommended services on technician worksheets
- Minimum three years combined hands-on diesel experience and/or training at vocational diesel school
A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications required
The shop hand would be responsible for the following duties:
- Perform lube and oil changes as assigned
- Replace and/or repair tires
- Clean up shop and put away tools
- Various projects as assigned
Good ethics and integrity with a high attention to detail
Mechanic must bring necessary tools to perform position responsibilities
ASE Diesel Certification preferred for mechanic position
You must have and maintain a valid driver’s license as a condition of employment, be insurable and maintain insurability, CDL preferred. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and weekend work when needed if mechanic is willing to work the additional hours.
We offer competitive flat rate commission depending on mechanic's experience or an hourly rate for less experience; holidays and vacation after 90 days. Please email your resume today.
