Role : Google Cloud Platform Architect Location : Westlake, TX Duration: Full Time Job Description for Google Cloud Platform Architect Role A mid-senior level Architect for a critical transformational program. The Individual should be passionate about technology, experienced in developing and managing cutting edge technology applications. Technical Skills: 10-15 years of experience in IT Industry with track record as Cloud/DevOps Architect Hands on working knowledge running Terraform Modules Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform Services like DataProc, VM's, Cloud Storage, IAM, External Service Accounts Must have expertise and experience in Google Cloud Ability to understand client requirements, undertake IT landscape assessments, develop architectural blueprints, roadmap, strategy documents against transformational requirements such as cloud migrations, hybrid cloud setup, app containerization, cloud native application architecture etc. Capable of building & providing impromptu technical solution to clients. Strong knowledge of DevOps Platform tooling ( Chef/Puppet/Kubernetes/Docker/Containers) Experience with Bitbucket, GIT, GitLab, or GitHub Managing Infrastructure as Code - Terraform Experience in Scripting languages. (Python/PowerShell) Strong knowledge in various Storage technologies - Object Store, NFS, SANs Working Knowledge of Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, CodeBuild Pipelines Hands on experience with build and deployment automation to support complex environment topologies. Experience implementing CICD pipelines and DevOps strategies at scale Responsible for partnering with the Platform, Engineering and Delivery Teams to deliver seamless infrastructure support Must have Strong Knowledge & experience in system monitoring techniques and tools supporting unattended operations. Ability to understand client requirements and support large transformation projects such as public cloud setup, app containerization, migrations etc. Managing Infrastructure as Code in Terraform, Anisble and YAML packages Understanding of cloud security Experience in Application security (B2C, B2B , SAML , OAuth) Perform environmental analysis to identify architectural improvement opportunities. Work on complex/long running issues or projects. Experience in common infra. Activities (i.e. Patch Mgt., Migrations, Upgrades, Assessments etc.) Ability to creates, contribute, and implement best practices in Cloud infra Familiarity with cloud based disaster recovery and HA system Infrastructure experience (firewalls, load balancer, AD, DNS, etc) Familiarity with Cloud APIs, cloud CLI, and SDK. Process Skills: Should have led at least 2-3 large size transformational projects as technology architect. Performed consultative engagements independently like environmental assessments/estate wide remediation plan. Has exposure to pre-sales support and capability building activities. Keeping abreast of industry trends, technology innovation, and changing customer requirements to help with the continual service improvement.
