Your OpportunityThe Data, Analytics and Insight (DAI) organization is responsible for the management and integration of data across Schwab. We focus on making data more accessible and available, enabling speed to insight, and ensuring sound governance, resulting in a robust data environment. Then keep reading!The Managing Director is a key member of DAI Organization and the business leader of the Data & Analytics Self-Service Capabilities Program. You will own successful road-mapping, execution, and delivery of a Data Marketplace and new self-service capabilities used across the firm. You’ll play a central role in high-profile transformation projects, including redefining how analysts, business users, and data scientists’ access and use well-governed data to make data-driven decisions and safely publish results.What you are good at

Build and lead the Data & Analytics Self-Service Transformation roadmap by working closely with technology and partners to determine the appropriate sequence of working in a way that continuously delivers business value, while also following an efficient, logical development pathway

Partner with stakeholders companywide to take a deep dive into their business to capture needs and areas for improvement, that will enable you and your team to design valuable capabilities, change management plans, and strategic roadmaps

Define how Data & Analytics Self-Service capabilities fit within a broader enterprise curation strategy to support well-defined, robust cross-enterprise metrics

Perform tool stewardship, planning, and consultation with the business on enterprise-level metric work efforts

Oversee budget & project plan to ensure projects stay on budget/on schedule; proactively identify & resolve issues that may impact the budget, timeline & ability of project to meet stated objectives

Continuously guide prioritization of work & actively participate in Agile methodology and activities

What you have

10+ years in running large data management projects and programs cross-enterprise

10+ years of program management/leadership experience, preferably in financial services

Demonstrated experience driving transformation and adoption for self-service around data and analytics across a large firm

Deep knowledge of both current Self-Service strategies, and data science / analytic work patterns and needs

Solid grasp of the business value derived from each piece of work (both the objective and subjective value as perceived by enterprise leads) as well as the technology work needed to implement

Influential presentation skills with ability to build alignment and drive teamwork across technology and business teams

Experience managing programs that require both high level and detailed thinking/execution

Consistent track record of executing data projects that deliver clear business value

Ability to balance execution, technical knowledge and discernment in the area of data

Outstanding translator and liaison between the business and technology

Highly responsive & detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and efficiently meet tight deadlines

Demonstrated thought leadership and ability to empower team to generate change that clearly contributes to business success

BA/BS required (quantitative focus preferred)
