Your Opportunity

We are looking for a QA SDET Lead with strong DW and ETL testing experience. The QA SDET Lead's role is to develop and execute exploratory as well as automated tests in order to ensure data quality. QA Lead's responsibilities include estimating, planning and coordinating testing activities. The QA Lead will also ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked and resolved.

What you are good at

  • Create Test strategy and update the strategy for each scheduled releases as needed
  • Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts
  • Strategize, Design, implement and monitor DevOps process and procedures
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track/triage bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Catalog and maintain test scenario library
  • Present testing results and progress to management team
  • Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio
  • Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality

What you have

  • Require 12+ years of overall experience with at least 8 years as a Quality Engineer in Data warehouse and ETL.
  • Experience in working on large scale data integration projects
  • Experience testing Data Warehouse, ETL, and Big Data environments and have defined test approaches for testing data warehouse projects
  • Experience in creating testing strategies and engineering best practices related to software test engineering, both manual and automated testing
  • Experience in root cause analysis and defect diagnosis techniques
  • Experience with implementation of test automation for data warehouse testing
  • Experience in QA automation using Python
  • Having experience in QA automation using Java is a plus
  • Experience working in Agile
  • Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced hands-on experience in building automated regression testing capabilities using current technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently within a quickly changing environment with strict deadlines; to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to summarize and present test results and progress to management
  • Exceptional customer service orientation

Highly Preferable

  • Experience in testing Big Data, working with Informatica and Talend ETL tools, and Teradata Data Warehouse
  • Experience writing complicated SQL statements and PL/SQL code to test data flow and perform data analysis.
  • Experience in testing Data Warehouse/Big Data in cloud environment. Preferably in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
  • Experience in using Agile tools such as Jira, Rally etc.
  • Highly knowledgeable in DevOps Concepts and hands on experience in using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket etc.
  • General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office with expert level knowledge of Excel, working knowledge of QA testing software, QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge in using Control M
  • Performance Testing expertise and using Performance Testing/monitoring tools such as JMeter, AppDynamics etc.
