The Sales and Service Technology division supports client facing systems, sales support systems, and service systems. Salesforce.com is the foundation of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems used by the Sales Technology team. Schwab has 14 Salesforce orgs, including the CRM Retail org and Advisor Services org, which support sales and services for our Retail Branches and Advisor Services teams. These CRM orgs has automated integrations with many other Schwab systems.

What you are good at

As a member of the CRM Retail Sales Technology team, you will be immersed in a collaborative, innovative, and technically challenging environment. As a Salesforce Developer you will be responsible for design, development, and delivery of Salesforce artifacts. We're looking for team members that are eager to learn and implement new technologies and provide outstanding CRM solutions.

As a Salesforce Developer you will be responsible for helping to deliver quality technology and software initiatives by:
  • Analyzing complex business and systems requirements and providing technical solutions to meet user requirements
  • Designing and developing solutions on CRM Salesforce platform integrating with backend systems and working closely with our development, QA, product teams and Architects
  • Ensuring timely delivery of project deliverables
  • Collaborating with business partners on issues
  • Partnering with application and data developers on designs, models and best in class implementation
  • Interacting with experts from across Schwab in different support organizations and business groups
  • Being a member of Agile team(s) that focuses on delivering what the client needs
  • Providing Tier 2 support for production issues, including fixes across platforms and on-call responsibilities working with production support team to ensure 24x7 availability of production systems

What you have

As a developer you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Strong foundational understanding of application development concepts and technologies
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, coupled with a desire to take on responsibilities; solutions oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex system issues in business terminology
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple, competing, high-priority projects with varying deadlines
  • Experience interfacing with business partners at various levels
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the business functions that the team supports
  • Ability to work independently as a member of an Agile scrum team
  • Track record of being detailed oriented; a self-starter having deliverables with minimal defects
  • Must be able to quickly grasp complex concepts and learn new technologies
  • Experience supporting production operations in a high-availability environment
  • Experience interfacing with multiple technology domain partners, including offshore vendor teams and internal groups
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
  • Strong Salesforce development skills gained through 3+ years hands on experience and deep understanding of Salesforce platform features
  • Proven experience in Salesforce design and development (> 3 years)
  • Experience with Salesforce Service cloud highly desired
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce platform feature
  • Expertise in Salesforce Configuration, Workflow, Triggers, Visualforce, Apex coding and batch
  • Expertise in integration of Salesforce with backend systems synchronous and asynchronous
  • Salesforce Lightning experience highly preferred
  • Salesforce Administrator and Developer certifications desired
  • Experience in enterprise integration patterns and security mechanisms using Mulesoft or equivalent desired
  • Experience in CI/CD using Atlassian tools like BitBucket & bamboo highly desired
  • Experience in Java/J2EE technology stack and distributed computing highly desired
  • Experience with Jira for issue and project tracking desired
  • Prior Agile development experience highly desired
  • Prior exposure to the financial industry will set you apart
