Your OpportunityThe Treasury Capital Markets Investments team handles fixed-income investments in several portfolios totaling over $200 billion in balance sheet assets primarily for the benefit of Charles Schwab Corporation, Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., Charles Schwab Bank, Charles Schwab Premier Bank, and Charles Schwab Trust Bank.What you’re good atAs a member of the Treasury Capital Markets Investments team, you will play a key role in analyzing and executing trades in various fixed-income instruments while seeking to optimize portfolio returns within the corporate policy, risk, regulatory, and ALM strategy framework. Primary sectors for this position include both Agency and Private-Label MBS and CMBS. You will also provide backup to team members in other sectors, such as ABS and Municipal securities. Contribution to portfolio strategy meetings and other projects as assigned in support of department goals and objectives will be expected.Key responsibilities include:

Handling portfolios to enhance yields within acceptable risks and liquidity requirements

Handling portfolios within the context of total balance sheet management

Contributing to investment strategy decisions and presentationsProviding to analytics reporting and ALM modeling packages

Using technology and analytical tools to improve the portfolio management process

What you have

A broad knowledge of fixed-income capital markets

Excellent quantitative and analytical skills

Experience in a trading and/or portfolio management role

Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg and other investment software

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal and management skills with the ability to build cross-organizational relationships

Ability to maintain broker relationships and negotiate trade executions

A minimum of 7 years relevant experience
