The Advisor Onboarding team will be an integral role to creating a world class client experience to incoming advisors as we bring two platforms together.

This newly created team will provide conversion planning support and lead educational training to prepare advisors to be operationally ready on Conversion Day 1.

This position is for conversion support and will end after the completion of the integration over the next several years.

What you are good at

As a Team Manager of the Advisor Onboarding Team, you will build and inspire a team to deliver a superb advisor experience through each phase of advisor onboarding while building a strong foundation for a long lasting relationship.

This leader will have a heightened expertise and understanding of the advisor conversion experience, identify how advisors will be affected at each point of integration and look for opportunities for the team to delight advisors.

Key responsibilities of this client-facing team include :

Support advisor onboarding planning activities for 8K firms using bulk and 1x1 processes, while creating an engaging and seamless experience

Facilitate advisor training using 1x1 and 1x many channels to prepare advisors to be operationally ready on Conversion Day 1 and leverage Schwab’s digital capabilities to serve their clients

Manage projects and drive execution on pre-conversion advisor remediation and data collection activities and serve as an internal resource for Sales and Service for integration related inquiries

Onboard incoming firms who want to move accounts to Schwab ahead of conversion for their new household growth

You will pursue our mission and values by :

Recruit, train, coach, manage team work flows and inspire a team of 6-7 advisor facing professionals who play one of the most influential roles in integration

Represent the face of integration with large-complex advisors in advisor planning meetings, consult advisors on conversion planning activities and offer innovative solutions, and quickly resolves advisor escalations

Oversee advisor education and training that improves advisor’s ability to navigate Schwab systems and processes, reduces rework and improves overall efficiency

Work with leadership to provide additional enhancements, training materials, and resources that improve the client experience during advisor onboarding

Maintain a strong band of communication between internal business partners, including sales, service and leadership

Demonstrate superior understanding of features and benefits of Schwab tools, products, and services and be a resource and coach to team members in these areas

Be held accountable for achieving advisor training milestones, advisor tech adoption goals and first year client satisfaction goals

Manage this team in a virtual environment across multiple locations, develop team members through coaching, career development mentoring and motivational techniques

Anticipate potential risk issues pertaining to all facets of the operation while presenting and implementing proactive solutions

What you have

Ability to shepherd teams, advisors and internal partners through uncharted territory as we bring two organizations and platforms together

Create the connective tissue between two businesses; act as consultant, facilitator, communicator, project leader, coach and bridge builder

Demonstrated ability to influence and work collaboratively with organizations and leadership across the two organization to improve the advisor experience and drive the business results

Attributes of an entrepreneurial self-starter, be able to lead and influence excellent client experience results with the ability to problem solve, interact with individuals at various levels, and think on your feet

In-depth knowledge of Advisor Services products, services, operational processes, marketing resources, sales materials as well as demonstrated brokerage RIA industry knowledge

Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience preferred

FINRA Series 7, 63 and 9 / 10 required
