Job Description:Candidate must have demonstrated track record of successfully managing day-to-day tasks while at the same time staying on track to achieve strategic goals, projects and other initiatives as defined by the internal and external stakeholders. The key focus will be providing L3+ level of support in Windows, VMware, PATCH MANAGEMENT areas brining strong technical knowledge, innovation and transformational skills. The role also requires taking the E2E ownership of Patch Management Initiative technical front, so effective written and verbal communication is must. Our Operation Team integrates with services across the datacenter and cloud. As a Senior Global Technical Lead, you will responsible for managing all operation deliverables with high Quality, solving complex technical problems, bringing innovative ideas and best practices to maintain excellent customer services feedback. This full-time position will be focused on managing all aspects of project related activities and driving it through levels of maturity.
Project Technical Lead will be required to do the following:- Effective analysis of infrastructure in regular time interval to identify/create proactive problems and risks
- Create and Maintain the Project Plans, knowledge bases and other technical documentation required for project tasks delivery
- Provide technical subject matter expertise wherever required
- Provide Technical operation leadership to a large-scale Production Support Server Environment
- Must have extensive experience in Windows Patch Management and overall windows support
- Predicting Risk/Impact and create and execute appropriate Risk Mitigation Plan
- Create and execute required change requests for the environment and participate/represent the team in CAB for approvals
- Create and report infrastructure capacity management and forecasts, day-to-day capacity and resource management
- Create maintain project status updates for senior managers and stakeholders
- Define, develop, and present standard KPI reports using VMware, Vrops and PowerBi
- Adhere to PMO processes and guidelines, must be able to do both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Keep up to date with latest technology and market/industry trends.
- Years and type of Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience VMware, Windows servers, Blade Chassis, Virtual Connect switches, and supporting tools in customers environment.
- Expert in Troubleshooting, configuring & managing HP OneView, C7000 enclosures & Synergy frames
- Expert in vCenter, vSAN, Vrops, vMotion, VMware Tools, vSphere Replication, SRM & Hypervisor
- Highly experienced in Windows server administration and installing Hot Fixes Patches to eliminate vulnerabilities
- Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting multiple latest and legacy version of Windows including, 2003 server, 2008 server, 2012, 2016 & 2019 server etc.
- Expert knowledge on troubleshooting of Operating system Boot and system recovery issues and Cluster related issues
- Knowledge on OEM hardware (HP) & remote connectivity tools (e.g.: KVM, ILO,DRAC, RSA)
- Hands-on knowledge in various recovery scenarios of AD, DNS, DHCP, Clusters and DR
- Highly experienced in managing Active Directory 2008/2016 Domain Controllers, Accounts, Access, Network Shares & AGPM
- Strong Knowledge of Windows Registry, including knowledge of modifying system, Windows Patch Management, File & Print Server Management, DFSN and DFSR
- Must possess real-world hands on experience with developing PowerShell scripts from scratch. Should also have ability to create/enhance scripts to control and automate the administration of the Windows operating system and applications that run on Windows Server environment such as Active Directory
- Experienced in Hyper converged Infrastructure (vSAN and Simplivity)
- Experience in Planning, designing, troubleshooting DNS, and Group Policies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have deep technical problem isolation and resolution capability and experienced in resolving complex configuration problems by simulations
- Must adherence to the use of the ticketing system for ALL incidents, changes and problems
- Have worked with multi-vendor environment and knowledge of layers of escalations to external Vendor support as and when required to ensure Service Level Agreements are met
- Execute monthly patch management research, reports and implementation on system infrastructure
- Conduct regular technical meetings with customer to address any trends or outstanding systemic issues and define an action plan for troubleshooting / resolution
- Ability to architect, build, maintain, and enhance the current managed infrastructure components and solution
- Must have experience in working with a Global team and Time Zones
- Public cloud Amazon, Azure etc
- Previous Retail Industry experience
- Working with wider team in Onsite and Offshore models
- Knowledge on latest automation tools and basic architecture.
