Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Sector is seeking an early career or mid-level career Systems Software Analyst or based out of Clearfield, UT. This role could also be performed 100% virtual/Work from Home.Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for configuration and maintenance of multi-purpose servers, workstations, and storage arrays in a secure environment to include Linux, Windows, VMWare, ESXi
  • Implement recovery procedures to include the backup and potential restoration within agreed timeframes
  • Perform hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Comply with cyber requirements, which may include routine system checks for Antivirus, logging, and network system services
  • Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists (DNS management, LDAP administration)
  • Recommend and implement approved system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management
  • Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed - Provide On-the-Job Training and platform instruction to customer when required.
  • Opportunity to travel and support system installations, test support, and maintenance for customer sites
This position may be performed by a level 2 (early career) or level 3 (mid-career) Systems Software Analyst.

Basic Qualifications for a Systems Software Analyst level 2:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of related experience; 0 Years with a relevantMasters Degree; OR an additional 4 years of relevant experience/education in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with Microsoft Server, Windows domain architectures, Windows Active Directory, LDAP, VMWare, and knowledge of SAN storage systems, Red Hat Linux Operating System experience and/or certification for current versions
  • Operational experience with LDAP, DNS, Windows, and database services
  • Operational experience with Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTPD, and clustering configurations.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment and be able to adapt quickly to change
  • Candidate must currently have, and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance with a background investigation date within 10 Years

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of related experience; 3 Years with Masters; OR an additional 4 years of relevant experience/education in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with Microsoft Server, Windows domain architectures, Windows Active Directory, LDAP, VMWare, and knowledge of SAN storage systems, Red Hat Linux Operating System experience and/or certification for current versions
  • Operational experience with LDAP, DNS, Windows, and database services
  • Operational experience with Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTPD, and clustering configurations.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment and be able to adapt quickly to change
  • Candidate must currently have, and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance with a background investigation date within 10 Years
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding basic networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs; Cisco experience and/or certification.
  • Knowledge of Windows management.
  • Knowledge of Windows LDAP, VMWare, and SAN storage systems.
  • Knowledge of Powershell scripting.
  • Red Hat, Linux+ or similar certification
  • Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools (HBSS/Solar Winds/Splunk).
  • Experience with Certification & Accreditation process.
  • DoD 8570 Certification including a primary OS (Windows, Linux, Cisco).
  • Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools
  • Capable of completing assigned work with limited guidance / supervision
  • Must be able to support the 24/7 operations environment and adapt to changing priorities based on mission need
  • Potential ability to work any shift

Salary Range: $71,100 USD - $138,400 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
