Skill sets range from 3-D CAD modeling and Simulation to pneumatic system analysis. Will be involved in all aspects of hardware design from specification research and determination through to qualification testing. Job is located on Hill Air Force Base, will be working both on and off base to support the work. This is largely reverse engineering and design of form/fit/function replacement hardware. Will be working with a small team, allowing flexibility, and requiring a highly skilled self-starter. There will be some travel to support qualification testing and subcontractor visits. Security Clearance: Required: Capability to obtain Secret Security Clearance, Preferred: Current active Secret security clearance Qualifications TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience Required Skills:- Experience with 3-D modeling (Solidworks preferred): Models, Assemblies, FEA, and drafting
- Capability to perform mechanical, fluid dynamic, and thermodynamic hand calculations using established engineering equations
- Understanding of systems engineering and specification/requirement development
- Experience with testing and qualification of mechanical parts of systems
- Experience with Shock and vibration
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering, working towards a PE
