Job Description

The Role:

The Inside Named Account Manager (iNAM) is responsible for working in a teaming model with Territory Managers and Account Managers to manage FireEye’s customer experience. This is a critical role for the company which helps to increase sales activity and pipeline of sales opportunities within the customer base. The main purpose of this role is to engage with customers throughout the year to transact and maintain on-time renewals, cross-sell/upsell within customer base, and focus on customer retention. As an overlay specialist across FireEye’s various product lines, this role will also help define clear strategy and regional plan for targeting existing customers for outbound cross-sell/up-sell opportunities.

The successful iNAM has high internal motivation and is team oriented. This role will engage with customers throughout the year to transact and maintain on-time renewals. As the customer advocate, the iNAM will also need to successfully manage customer escalations and drive customer retention by offering a superior level of service. He/She will need to interface with internal departments (Professional Services, Technical Support, Finance, Legal, Channels, etc.) to solve customer issues. Some travel might be required.

Critical Metrics

  • Success in cross sell campaigns/plays with opportunities generated/created/found by iNAM
  • Active Cross-Selling into existing customers through phone sales, email sales, social media sales, and other means; working to generate new FireEye opportunities.
  • Assist assigned Account Managers by creating renewal quotes, cross-sell quotes, and as needed new business quotes.
  • Success developing opportunities and converting customer leads from Marketing
  • Develop strong trusted advisor relationships with customers as well as build relationships across all functions.
  • Ensuring assigned renewals are renewed on-time and for the appropriate amount (properly quoting renewals, following proper processes for renewing FireEye customers whether direct or via the distribution channel) Renewals are completed with attention to detail, and without error. Striving to sell multi-year or co-term renewal opportunities
  • Execute annual health checks in assigned account base
  • Exceed Renewal and Cross-Sell – Annual Sales quotas
  • Maintain accurate customer master record including licenses, software expiration dates, shipping address, updating customer contact information, updating sales force CRM forecast notes, hygiene, and categories
  • Quickly resolve any issues which may be preventing customers from maintaining a relationship with FireEye
  • Demonstrated ability to drive customer loyalty and satisfaction, as measured by customer renewals , advocacy, and Corporate Retention Rates.
  • Adhere to FireEye internal sales-forecasting process and provide accurate renewal forecasting in alignment with our internal forecasting cadence.

Qualifications

The successful individual in this role will:

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years technology sales/account management experience preferred
  • Successful experience selling into technical user base & senior management including C-level executives
  • Previous experience with renewals/renewals management a plus
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently to resolve issues. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience using Salesforce.com (SFDC) and other on-line tools effectively (WebEx/Skype) – experience with Oracle a plus
  • Proficiency using MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel
  • Compelling and persuasive when engaging with individuals or teams inside and outside the company
  • BS/BA or equivalent preferred
