Job Description

The Sr. Office 365 Administrator will be charged with installing, supporting and maintaining servers or other computer systems, and planning for and responding to service outages and other problems. Other duties may include scripting or light programming, project management for systems-related projects, supervising, and being the consultant for computer problems beyond the knowledge of technical support staff. To perform their job well, a Sr. Office 365 Administrator must demonstrate a blend of technical skills and responsibility.

Perhaps the most important skill for a Sr. Office 365 Administrator is problem solving frequently under various sorts of constraints and stress. The Sr. Office 365 Administrator is on call when a computer system goes down or malfunctions, and must be able to quickly and correctly diagnose what is wrong and how best to fix it.

Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and enabling staff.

Interpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving rather complex issues. May resolve problems within established practices.

Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice.

Sr. Office 365 Administrator will be part of a larger global team. This person’s responsibilities will be balanced between Office 365 administration, server management and general support of staff. Duties will include but will not be limited to installing, maintaining and upgrading servers. They are also responsible for ensuring the servers are backed up, and that the server data is secure from unauthorized access. Sr. Office 365 Administrator will also often perform light programming (usually scripting, which involves writing programs to automate tasks).

What You Will Do:

· The Sr. Office 365 Administrator will manage and support the corporateOffice 365 environment.

· The Sr. Office 365 Administrator will manage and support the corporate Windows infrastructure

· Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways, driving optimization of services.

· Contribute and drive small to medium projects and be able to define scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals.

· Expert ability to optimize, configure, maintain and perform reliable operations of computer systems

· Expert ability to build complex systems using a multitude of different technologies.

· Expert knowledge of Windows operating systems and networking concepts.

· Advanced knowledge of Office 365, new services, integrations and deployment of services.

· Expert knowledge of Active Directory domain structures and administering users, objects, groups, roles, permissions and GPO’s

· Expert knowledge of security implementation.

· Expert ability to understand networking requirements for systems.

· Expert ability to automate and code system administration tasks

· Expert ability to deploy Infrastructure as Code.

· Expert ability be able to respond to alerts from monitoring system.

· Expert ability to understand & troubleshoot backup & recovery technologies.

· Drive regular reporting, communication to different audiences both internal to team and external business partners.

· Proactively anticipate the capacity needs of the department and business customers to effectively enable change and alignment with business priorities.

· Support the daily monitoring, reporting, alerting, and troubleshooting of the environment.

· Drive standardization of process to ensure best practices in all aspects of technology delivery are being met.

Qualifications

Requirements:

· 8+ years system administration experience required.

· 5+ years managing Office 365.

· 5+ years of administration experience for Windows Server.

· 5+ years knowledge of Windows Active Directory domain structures and administering users, objects, groups, roles, and permissions

· System Administration, Developing Standards, Multi-tasking, On-Call

· Excellent written/oral communication skills

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment

· Proven ability to take a given task and work independently and as part of a team to bring the task to completion

· Excellent ability to trouble shoot methodologies and solve issues to meeting deadlines

· Confidently introduce ideas and participate in detailed technological discussions

Physical Requirement: Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
