Requisition Number: 202101224 Dealertrack DMS, a brand of Cox Automotive is currently looking for an expert Manager, Software Engineering with experience managing development teams with a heavy focus on offshore resource management to join our successful team in Draper, Utah. The Job : The Manager of Software Engineering leads scrum teams in the successful creation and delivery of software products to the marketplace. As a leader, you will mentor your team members, helping them advance skills in their specific roles and lead by example on all aspects of work. You will work closely with Engineering Leadership and key partners across the company to execute the strategic priorities of the company, and augment tactical planning by championing agility and collaboration.   • Drive stability and quality throughout the organization.
  • Establish productive relationships with leadership in Engineering, Product, HR and Operations departments.
  • Develop resource strategies, allocating staff, development tools and specialized support as necessary to ensure our development and delivery commitments are met.
  • Mentor, guide, and coach development team members (offshore and onshore) to ensure they succeed individually and as a team in an Agile environment.
  • Review, evaluate, plan and improve existing and future development tools, processes, methodologies, and resources.
  • Conduct code reviews of RPG code solutions for IBMi platform.
  • Develop and improve development best practices.
  • Ensure delivery of the best quality products.
  • Desire and ability to learn new skills and improve upon current skills.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering and 7+ years of experience with at least 1year experience in a management or lead role; or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
  • 7+ years of experience working in software development with minimum 1 year of experience managing in an Agile environment
  • Minimum 1year experience leading offshore teams
  • Prior experience programming on IBMi platform in RPG language
  • Experience with web services, including RESTful services
  • Experience with Microservices or Service Oriented Architecture
  • Ability to comprehend complexity, to fully understand a product with all its business and technological implications, and to approach technological solutions from that perspective
  • High degree of efficiency and motivation in work habits in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to meeting deadlines
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience developing and leading .Net development teams
  • Experience in delivering AWS solutions
