CACI is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to work for ATSSI Program at Hill Air Force Base, UT. As an Electrical Engineer doing Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and Test Program Set (TPS) development and maintenance within the CACI's Aerospace Solutions Group, you will serve as a member of a group of aviation test developers who's multi-disciplinary engineering tasks include hardware design (electrical and mechanical), software development for automated testing, product integration and troubleshooting, as well as technical documentation. You will be tasked by the USAF customers to support fielded equipment and by engineering leads to complete development efforts of automated test equipment.

What You'll Get to Do:
  • Responsible for designing, developing, modifying and evaluating electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry for electronic equipment, other hardware systems, or electrical engineering applications. Duties may include analyzing equipment to establish operating data, conducting experimental tests and evaluating results as well as selecting components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
  • Act as customer on-site support engineer to our USAF customer at Hill AFB, UT. You will be immersed with our USAF customer's team and support any technical tasking they require to maintain current or develop new ATE and TPSs.
  • Assist the test system development teams in San Antonio, Tx in: hardware and software architecture design, development and testing of products, requirements verification, milestone events including beta testing and validation/verification events, and maintenance/sustainment of existing systems.
  • You will be directed by the USAF customer to perform technical investigations and repairs of failing systems in a timely fashion to get them back in production. The system types include but are not limited to analog, digital, RF, electromechanical, and mechanical (examples: avionics, fire control antennas, jet fuel systems, wheel speed transducers, etc.). You may be tasked to assist in technical fact finding and reverse engineering tasks.
  • Design electrical circuits and layout resource allocations for electrical designs to ensure all requirements are met and interface between test equipment and units under tests are correct.

More About the Role:

Your manager will be located in San Antonio, TX and will rely upon you to communicate status and customer needs clearly as well as plan out work breakdown structures to complete tasks and coordinate with the many stakeholders to achieve success. You may be required to plan work for other on-site team members in addition to your own tasking.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree.
  • Seven or more years of professional experience.
  • Software: ANSI-C or other scripting language.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Ability to design electrical circuits.
  • Integration of hardware and software.
  • Demonstrated expertise with digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, closed loop servo systems, and/or AC and DC power supplies.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • NI product software (TestStand, CVI, LabVIEW, etc.).
  • Development of systems to requirements and verification of requirements.
  • Product development experience through to production.
  • Experience and knowledge of US Air Force and/or Navy aviation maintenance organizational structure.
  • Support equipment development in accordance with (IAW) MIL-PRF-28800, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461.
  • Familiarity with government FAR and D-FAR.
  • Product life cycle management IAW IEEE 15288.
  • Experience with PXI or equivalent technologies.
  • Development of automated test systems (ATE) and test program sets (TPS) for aircraft electrical, mechanical, avionics and engine systems.
  • Knowledge and use of ISO 9001, AS9100 or CMMI quality process standards.
