Job Details

Analyzes the cement production process - raw materials to finish milling - and implements changes as needed for optimal operating conditions in terms of fuel efficiency, electrical efficiency, and production rate.Demonstrates pyro-processing expertise in performing regular responsibilities. Participates in the training of the control room operators on the proper ways of using plant equipment. Works closely with shift process teams to ensure mills and pyro lines are consistently operated at peak efficiency.Performs programming of the plant's programmable control systems and provides maintenance, documentation and improvements for computerized process systems. Performs performance testing and measurements on production equipment. Maintains equipment performance records including wear part life history.Responsible for design, installation, revisions and maintenance of all plant instrumentation and electrical diagrams of all existing and new installations using ACAD, including PLCs, Power monitoring, Drives, etcProvide technical support to the Production Department in achieving its objectives of maximizing plant production of quality-controlled cement in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Investigates any technology, procedure, or equipment design that could improve production performance.Assists in the development of mix designs for various types of cementResponsible for the revisions and maintenance of the plant production reportPerforms relief duties for the process computer manager, production superintendent and plant chemist as specified by plant management
