Job Description

  • Ideate, collaborate with the product team, and refine user interfaces using our design system and component library in Figma. This will include the entire UI process such as sketching, wireframing, etc.
  • Collaborate daily with a senior UX team member on a variety of functions from daily production needs to the creation of high-fidelity design mock-ups and prototypes. Team up with developers, product owners, marketing, and technical writers.
  • Participate in and build a culture of critique by receiving and giving frequent feedback on designs.
  • Effectively negotiate trade-offs with product management and engineering.
  • Assist research efforts by facilitating user interview observation rooms, gathering and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, and delivering findings to a product team.
  • Other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • 3 plus years offormal UX design training and/or relevant preparatory experience and portfolio.
  • Proficiency with current software packages used in the field of UX such as, but not exclusively or limited to: InVision or other prototyping tools, Sketch and/or the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Sound knowledge of web and mobile technologies.
  • Communicate comfortably and effectively with external users and internal teams (product, engineering, etc.) in a way that builds trust and confidence with customers and colleagues.
  • Design competency through sketching, concept creation and wire framing, producing sitemaps and user flows, creating clickable prototypes. Ideal candidates will show how these skills have been applied across multiple platforms, web and native-based applications.
  • Deliver design work on programs of any size with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to work with user research teams to plan usability testing and deliver artifacts for testing then use acquired user insight, analytics, best practice knowledge, and competitor analysis to inform design decisions.
  • Can research and convey industry trends, competing and comparable experiences to drive design standards and patterns across channels and products. Can document data, with guidance, from analytics sources.
  • Demonstrate time/priority management, planning own work executing against assigned deadlines while maximizing efficiency in the agile process. Works well in groups and independently.
  • Convey inherent curiosity, empathy for end users, and a passion for user experience that delights stakeholders.
