Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Financial Analyst for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Technology clients in Lehi, UT . This role is responsible for assisting with the month-end close and working to ensure that revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606 and internal revenue recognition policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and able to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities :
- Monthly closing activities including preparation of journal entries and analysis of account balances.
- Review current revenue recognition processes/procedures and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and timeliness of the close and reporting.
- Calculate, record, and reconcile sales return reserves.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts related to revenue.
- Assist in the preparation of various revenue reports and analyses.
- Review of agreements for compliance with company revenue recognition policies and ASC 606 compliance.
- Continuously improve business processes, systems, and enhance documentation and controls as part of our SOX compliance efforts.
- Work with diverse and cross-functional teams, domestically and internationally.
- Support quarterly reviews and annual audits performed by external auditors.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of revenue recognition standards (ASC 605, ASC 606, etc.)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros), Tableau, SQL.
- Exceptional work ethic with high energy to multi-task and meet tight timelines.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of general ledger systems.
