Our client is looking to hire an Apigee Developer.
Key Responsibilities. Responsible for proposing technical solutions in collaboration with the Product and Engineering teams. . This position will participate in technical design discussions, and will participate in various internal cross-development team meetings. . This position will define Apigee API s, mentor junior developers on Apigee Edge development and work closely with the engineering manager on API designs and implementations. . Develop a deep understanding of the integrating partner needs, whether that customer is an external consumer of the company products, or internal development team developing an application integration. As a senior developer, the expectation is that you will assist in various team activities aimed at expediting quality, automating delivery and ensuring the stability of our Apigee Edge API s. . You will also review security scans, to ensure our API s and our Apigee platform are secure. . Additionally, you will assist the Development team in story refinement activities, mapping, road map estimating, setting technical requirements, code reviews and continual process improvement. . As a senior developer, you are expected to be able to construct healthy and productive relationships with peers and coworkers.Requirements and Skills. At least 5-7 years of software development experience in Apigee Edge, or similar tool (Mulesoft, AWS API Gateway, ). A love and passion for mentoring junior engineers Ability to explain technical opinions and facts in an easy, effective and respectful way Ability to contribute to a socially collaborative, cohesive and supportive environment Some experience with web development using React/Angular/Vue (JavaScript) front ends and, Java, C#, or other languages, to develop microservices backend . Experience in designing and implementing scalable API solutions using the REST pattern Experience using and developing Relational and NoSql databases Experience building CI/CD projects and solutions using Bamboo or Jenkins. . Experience designing, analyzing and troubleshooting performance load tests for Apigee proxies, using Locust, JMeter or other equivalent tools Experience using containers and Kubernetes solutions. . Experience creating open api specifications using Swagger or an equivalent product. .
