Job Description
The Accountant performs accounting functions, such as payment of approved POs and invoices, payment processing, bank reconciliations, preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements, planning and budgeting, and other financial management responsibilities for assigned entities.
Responsibilities:
Perform bank reconciliations and month end journal entries/closeouts
Oversee accounts payable
Maintain vendor database including insurance and license information
Implement and maintain best practices
Prepare Actual vs Budget analysis
Assist with the budgeting process
Assist with investor relations
Performs other duties as assigned
Review and prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
Minimum two years of accounting work experience
Must understand internal control systems
Knowledge of the planning and budgeting process
Effectively communicate orally and in writing (including grammar and spelling)
Physical and electronic document management
Ability to serve others and improve systems and operations
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn new software
Problem Solver, Disciplined, Organized, Friendly, and work well with others
