Job Details

We are looking for a talented Senior Full Stack Python Developer to help build new features into our AI driven productivity platforms. You'll be able to share stories of mistakes you've made and learned from in past work, and you'll be able to identify the same mistakes as they are being made here. You already know how to interface with a product team, support team, marketing team, and leadership team to make everything run more smoothly.

Ideal Background:

7+ years of experience developing software as part of an engineering team
Strong in Python / Django development
Solving HTML / CSS / JavaScript / jQuery multi-browser compatibility problems and performance optimization
Any Android or iOS app development experience would be great (nice to have)
Exposure to Marionette/Backbone, Webpack, Less.js, and Bootstrap would be nice, but not required
An interest in productivity software
Bachelors degree in Computer Science

What You'll Do (note from hiring Manager):The first 90 days for any engineer would likely involve a lot of ramp-up and getting familiar with our tech stack and code base, depending on their background experience. Both our of positions would start with smaller projects that are more standalone to get familiarity with how we work. We have a design team that gives detailed specs that's generally pretty easy to follow. Frontend might be building a new tooltip or adding new menu options in Gmail, and full-stack could be adding a new endpoint to show user stats. As they get more familiar with coding with us, they'll start to tackle more immersive projects, like building frontend A/B tests for multiple UI variants that hook onto backend APIs, or for backend, creating or modifying data models to help support new meeting scheduling features, or integrating with a new API to provide more video conferencing options for users. These are just some examples, not necessarily what will actually happen!
