We need an architect that thinks like an attacker. This individual will be a part of ensuring that security is embedded into key banking transformation solutions. As a contributor of the Enterprise Architecture team, you will:

  • Be responsible for the definition and maintenance of security reference architectures that provide roadmaps and design guidance for key security domains such as application, infrastructure, data-center, cloud platforms and products, IAM integration, data privacy and enabling services.
  • Architect and design information security solutions to protect company assets; address regulatory requirements and align to the adopted security framework.
  • Serve as an information security advisor to key technology and business stakeholders, establishing trust relationships through active engagement and collaboration.
  • Act as the Cyber Portfolio Architect, partnering with Enterprise Information Security in Lean and Agile processes such as roadmap planning, backlog prioritization and solution orchestration.
  • Ensure IT solution implementations align with enterprise security standards, policies and procedures.
  • Review modern technologies to validate alignment to the organization’s security requirements.
  • Identify business requirements that affect the enterprise security architecture and provide solutions that integrate into the overall architectural vision and strategy.
  • Provide guidance and expertise in the development of security standards, architectural governance, design patterns, and security best practices that align with Zions policies and ever changing cyber security marketplace.
Technical Skills and Qualifications
  • 10 plus years of related experience in enterprise level security architecture.
  • Experience and expertise in the following areas:
    • Identity and Access Management, Governance, and Assurance – biometrics, privacy, privilege management, attestation.
    • Application Security – secure software coding practices and OWASP: Open Web Application Security Project.
    • Information/data security – encryption, obfuscation, tokenization and PKI.
    • Network Security –defense, forensics, security data analysis, penetration testing, network device monitoring, intrusion detection and patching and perimeter defense.
    • Cloud and Mobile Security Services and Architectures
  • Experience defining security design patterns that map to regulatory guidance, security standards and policies for cyber compliant solutions as well as validation of existing security controls.
  • Experience embedding security into business solution design as a Security Solution Architect
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.
  • Familiarity with information security technologies and their application to customer challenges.
  • Ability to identify threats, vulnerabilities and consequences and design appropriate responses.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity architectures and tools and financial regulatory guidance and industry best practices.
  • Understanding of Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) assessment tools.
  • Knowledge of NIST Cyber Security Framework processes and associated standards and policies.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • CISSP (or equivalent): Certified Information Systems Security Professional
  • One or more of the following certifications preferred: SABSA, TOGAF, SANS GIAC, CISM, CompTIA Security+ CE
A combination of education and experience may meet requirements. Pay Range – depends on experience: $150,000 - $170,000Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus Flexibility and Location: This opportunity will be located in our brand new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, Utah. We have a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days at home if you are within the Salt Lake City area. The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus will be the company’s primary technology and operations center. This modern and environmentally friendly technology center will enable Zions to continue to compete for the best technology talent in the state while providing team members with an exceptional work environment with features such as:
