SR Java Software DeveloperDirect HireSalt Lake City, UtahPay Target $130k $150k base salary

Job Summary:Join a company of about 200 employee Utah company as part of their Software Development team. This company is a leader in their space within the FinTech industry. They are a Java shop, and utilize microservices along with test driven development. Teams are about 9 people mostly software developers working alongside QA, Infrastructure, and the DevOps group This role will initially join the team doing both some maintenance coding to learn their systems, legacy frameworks, products. Then also be new software solutions development.

There are several roles including
  • Team Lead
  • SR Software Engineer
  • Software Architect (not necessarily a team lead)
May also mentor and lead other team-members to help build up their technical skills.

Required Experience:
  • 7+ years Java software engineering (and other OO languages)
  • Experience with Kubernetes, message queues, and Microservices
  • Unit Tests - Test-driven development, mocking libraries, code coverage
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipeline, code analysis, code review process
  • Exposure to DevOps Monitoring - Proactive Notifications Troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis in Complex Distributed Systems Experience with load/stress testing and performance tuning
  • Experience with issue tracking system (JIRA, VersionOne, FogBugz, Rally, Bugzilla, etc.)
  • Experience with version control (Git, Subversion, Mercurial, etc.)
  • Dependency Injection Familiarity with Design Patterns
  • Mentoring Familiarity with Agile Software Development Processes
  • BS Degree, preferably in Computer Science, or similar technical area
Desired experience

Environment:
  • The company has shifted back into the office in a 50% onsite hybrid model. Must be able to work onsite 1 week on, 1 week off.
