JOB SUMMARY:

Kidokinetics is a dynamic and unique children’s physical education, sports enrichment and fitness program. We work with and instruct children ages 12-months (mommy/daddy & me) to 12-years with curriculum-based sports and physical education programs.

We are a positive resource for daycares, preschools, elementary schools, after-school programs, community centers, organizations and parents who want to teach children about the broad world of physical activity. We provide physical education and enrichment programs that help children enhance coordination, concentration and fine/gross motor skills in fun non-competitive styles and environments. Kidokinetics is new to Utah but over 25 years in existence.

The coaches are responsible for implementing the Kidokinetics curriculum, making sure that each child has a positive and successful Kidokinetics experience. The coach is responsible for the well-being of each of the students who attends a Kidokinetics class. The coach assumes the role of coach, friend, guide, and mentor. Ultimately it is the coach’s responsibility to carry out the mission of Kidokinetics: helping children enhance coordination, concentration, and fine/gross motor skills in a fun and non-competitive environment.

There are several coaches who are part of the Kidokinetics team but do their own classes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepares activities, lessons, games, and classes in accordance with the guidelines of Kidokinetics

- Prepares activities, lessons, and games for Junior (Mommy and Me” and Daddy and Me) Kidokinetics classes in accordance with the guidelines of Kidokinetics

- Prepares birthday parties in accordance with the guidelines of Kidokinetics

- Prepare enrichment classes in accordance with the guidelines of Kidokinetics

- Abides by the safety guidelines of Kidokinetics at all times

- Conducts classes in an enthusiastic, mentoring and nurturing manner

- Arrives to each class prior to start times and prepared with the appropriate lesson plans

- Arrives to each class with all necessary paperwork, including welcome package and marketing information for any parents who stop by to inquire about the Kidokinetics program

- Arrives to each class with adequate equipment and supplies

- Sets up sign and/or banner for display at the class location

- Takes proper care of equipment and supplies

- Provides a safe environment for children and caregivers

Makes every effort to connect one-on-one with each child

- Addresses concerns or special needs for children and caregivers

- Prepares and submits reports, attendance sheets, registration forms, etc. accurately and on time

- Serves as a good role model—physically, emotionally, and socially— for the children, teachers and attending parents

- Works as part of the Kidokinetics team

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience/backgrounds with coaching, physical education and working with children.
