Job Title: Jr Project Engineer/Manager Location: Boron, CADuration: Contract 3 months+Pay range: $40-$48/hr DOE & expensesJob Responsibilities:Responsible for supporting engineering design of small to large heavy industrial projects.Researches, develops, and supports the designs a variety of mechanical equipment, facilities, components, and systems for industrial purposes.Coordinating construction contractors.Develop proposals and project scopes for industrial projects, work-hour estimates, scheduling and coordination in collaboration with management, sales, project delivery, engineering and discipline representativesParticipate in meetings with the client and project team to establish project objectives and to coordinate and/or resolve design problems.Candidate must be a "seller-doer and have the ability to manage projects and project teams but also deliver technical work when necessary.Assists with development of equipment and materials bid specification, bid evaluation and selection.Job Requirements:BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar2-5 years of project experience required.PE License is a plus. Experience managing engineering projects from concept through construction support.Experience with business development and commercial proposal writing preferred.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and driven to develop strong client relationship.Industrial operational experience requiredAbility to read/interpret specifications and construction drawingsExperience with material take-offs, mechanical equipment lists, P&IDs, and PFDsPipeline, Pressure Vessel, Relief Valve, Pumping Systems experience preferred.Experience working in heavy industrial environments required. This position does require working directly in industrial facilities.Experience with equipment layout design.Experience with AutoCAD is preferred.Experience with mechanical integrity and applicable codes: API,ASME, Client, ASTM and other generally accepted governing standards.Pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up experience is preferred.Experience with MSHA/OSHA safety regulations preferred.Proficiency with MS Office applications are required.
