Requirements:
  • Proven expertise in MS Office; Analytical Equipment System (e.g. ChemStation, Empower)
  • Full knowledge and understanding of chemical principles, theories and concepts
  • Full knowledge of laboratory equipment (e.g. gas Chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography, total organic carbon, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, atomic absorption)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing and Good Documentation Practices supporting a medical device environment
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Bio Chem with 3 years experience chemistry environment Required Or Master's Degree with 1 year experience chemistry environment
  • Job Description:
  • Operate Gas and Liquid Chromatography (and LC) instruments equipped with a Mass Spectrometer as specified in the standard operating procedures.
  • Process the data generated by the and LC MS instruments and work with subject matter experts to interpret the data.
  • Perform extractions on medical devices as specified in the standard operating procedures.
  • Order and receive chemicals and supplies as needed.
  • Clean glassware and labware as needed.
  • Support various other laboratory functions as needed.
  • Set parameters of complex laboratory instrumentation to perform testing by applying chemistry knowledge and concepts.
  • Participate in process improvement projects (e.g. BEST, Lean) and propose recommendations for manager approval
  • Perform routine laboratory operations activities including updating documents
