Job Description
The Distribution, Lead Agent with be responsible for overseeing distribution & warehouse operations, and warehouse employee development & execution.
Qualifications
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Monitor department KPI’s
- Manage contract and EI employee training
- Maintain a positive and influential attitude
- Drive department goals to completion
- Uphold Expeditors and warehouse culture
- Complete assignments timely
- Advocate & nourish process improvement
- Address performance/behavioral issues timely and document repeat issues
- Delegate and distribute workload as needed to improve customer service and minimize and manage overtime
- Observe team dynamics and coach to improve performance in customer service and productivity
- Retain and develop business
- Solve problems at their root cause
- Audit department performance and uphold company policies / requirements
- Focus on Supervisor level tasks and skills
- Uphold proactive communication
- Order Received to Ship Confirm
- Shipping Accuracy
- Freight arrival to received
- Freight received to put away
- Comprehend department P&L
- Support and give required information to Distribution Supervisor and Manager to effectively analyze customer profitability
- Comprehend operating costs, customer rates, and expense control
- Implement department cross-training
- Facilitate daily team huddles
- Utilize on the spot awards, and other tools to recognize employee performance
- Proactively mentor and develop your direct reports
- Build rapport within Expeditors and externally with customers
- Provide friendly & helpful customer service in all forms of communication to customers, and other Expeditors branches
- Speak regularly with customers to develop and maintain business relationships
