Description:

Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adoption process
Evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software
Develop and organize cloud systems
Work closely with IT security to monitor cloud privacy
Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner
Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud
Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the agency Requirements:
5+ years total IT experience.
Experience with mass migrations of closing data centers and moving large workloads to AWS cloud.
Experience planning, designing, engineering, and supporting cloud infrastructure and application/server deployment to cloud environments.
3+ years of experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS) to engineer solutions built on CloudFormation and/or Terraform.
Experienced with scripting CI/CD pipelines on Jenkins.
Container experience with Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
Automation experience with CloudFormation, Resource Manager, Puppet, Chef, Ansible.
Must have some Java application development programming experience.
Experience programming and scripting (Java/python).
Experience supporting production applications or workloads in a cloud-based environment.
Understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery principles, patterns, and usage.
Experience configuring and tuning virtual private clouds.
Experience with TLS/SSL, encryption, and key management principles.
Experience with networking principles and technologies (DNS, Load Balancers, Reverse Proxies).
Practical experience sizing hardware and storage needs.
Bringing your own unique perspective to solving challenging problems.
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other IT related discipline that is directly applicable.
AWS Cloud Certifications is a big plus.
