ResponsibilitiesAs an IT Controls Senior Consultant in our Public Sector Financial Services group, you will support project teams both at client sites and internally. Responsibilities will include client management, documenting and testing systems leveraging FISCAM, knowledge of NIST, reviewing SSAE18 SOC1 Reports, and applying an analytical mindset and solution over multiple work products. You will gather and analyze data, identify gaps and trends, and make recommendations related to baseline performance and structure, as well as established best practices and benchmarks. Responsibilities will include: Advise federal clients in improving internal controls over financial reporting and meeting the requirements of related federal guidance and requirements, including: OMB Circular A-123, Appendix A and C, the GAO Green Book, the Chief Financial Officers Act of 1990, Federal Managers’ Financial Integrity Act of 1982 (FMFIA), and Improper Payments Elimination and Recovery Improvement Act (IPERIA).

Participate in client-facing discussions and meetings

Produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables

Create and edit technical and non-technical written work products and graphical presentations

Support management control programs

Develop corrective action plans, and executing remediation with a focus on internal controls over financial reporting and managing financial statement assertions

QualificationsRequired: Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited United States college or university in Information Technology, Business, Accounting or Finance

Ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance

Years of Experience: Candidate must have a minimum of three years of full-time experience with progressive experience providing consulting services to Federal Government agencies or Fortune 500 companies, within the CFO or similar office

Ability to lead technical workstreams, including in a client-facing role, with a strong commitment to quality and standardization

Demonstrates knowledge and experience in IT risk and controls through IT audits, IT control assessments, and IT security reviews. Demonstrates a working knowledge of FISMA, NIST SP 800 series, FISCAM, and other relevant federal information assurance laws, regulations, and guidance. Experience performing OMB Circular A-123 or similar internal control assessments and/or remediating and implementing IT controls is preferable.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel

Significant attention to detail

Must have one of the following certifications: CPA, CISA, CGFM, CIA and/or CICA

Preferred:

Familiarity with Federal Government lending and financial assistance systems

Federal audit support, audit liaison, corrective action planning, and remediation

Demonstrated knowledge of business development practices and interest in growing a business

While this role is available virtually, a strong preference will be given to candidates based in Washington, DC.

The starting annual base salary range for this position is $85,000-$120,000, depending on experience and location.
