Duties: In your role as a Linux Administrator you will be Tier 1 / Tier 2 support of the Business systems in a 24x7 follow the sun model. This will entail alert management, OS troubleshooting and working to restore service in a robust Enterprise Environment.Monitoring of Linux/Unix systemsTroubleshooting of systemsAlert managementIncident ManagementWorking with clients across our Business Units to maintain and restore serviceAutomation of activities through scripting and configuration managementWorking with Hardware teams to maintain the physical server estateDocumentation of processes and procedures for the teamFor the position they will be onsite in SLC, UTCan this role be remote / hybrid? – Hybrid at least 50% in office to start.

Skills: Basic Qualifications:3-6 years of Unix/Linux systems administration experienceStrong core OS troubleshooting experienceBachelor’s Degree (U.S. or equivalent) in a Science or Engineering program or equivalent experiencePreferred Qualifications:Experience in Red Hat Linux AdministrationScripting experience in Shell, Bash, Perl and/or PythonVirtualization experience in VMwareNetworking knowledge/skillsExperience installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise-grade server hardware such as HP and Dell rackmount serversExperience using remote management interfaces like Dell iDRAC, HP iLO, VMware vCenter/vSphereAn automation-first mindsetIncident management experiencePrior experience in the Financial Service Industry is a plusPrior Enterprise experience is a plusRelevant certifications are a strong plus

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (U.S. or equivalent) in a Science or Engineering program or equivalent experience
