Job Description SummaryAccountabilities in this roleReporting to the Associate Director, VAD Specialty Contracting, this manager position facilitates the Capital Contracting Lifecycle aspects of the MDS VAD business. Working with the sales and commercial teams, this position oversees a team of five associates, facilitating quoting, contracting and support of capital sales for the US Region sales team and intercompany international transactions for the VAD-MDS Capital Equipment product lines. The Manager, Capital Support VAD-MDS is the primary level escalation advisory, providing management of activities and training within the dept. This role manages a team of analysts and specialists with assigned tasks which include preparing quotes, sales orders, managing sales programs, customer requests and inventory tracking.Daily accountabilities are varied, often complex and technical in nature which require excellent troubleshooting skills along with good judgment and the ability to make appropriate decisions in a timely manner.Job DescriptionBe part of something bigger!BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world and is advancing the world of health by improving medical discovery, diagnostics and the delivery of care. Managerial duties for Capital Support Team, including timekeeping, coaching, reviews and training.

Redlining of agreements for Capital contracts along with coordination with the offer development Dept.

Daily assignment of incoming work to the dept. applying the ticket assignment system.

Lead international orders and coordination for intercompany sales.

Lead internal IOS quote application (Quic app) administrator workload, including updating of sales force users and login troubleshooting.

Lead all applied software within the dept. including user acceptance testing for changes in BD approved software.

Communicate with BD Sales force to coordinate orders and resolution of customer service issues to support divisional sales goals and operations of the Capital Sales Dept.

Lead sales orders for capital and service billing in ServiceMax and SAP, including running change and return orders.

Lead sales programs administration and reporting.

Capital inventory tracking, coordination, reporting, including tracking of onboarding and offboarding of sales reps and equipment location. Data reconciliation between ServiceMax and ERP system for capital Demo/Loaner/Evaluation pool of equipment.

Exercise appropriate controls to minimize financial exposure and capital reserves across the business.

Collaborate with our business partners to identify, develop and drive business process continuous improvement activities, conduct root cause analysis, resolve error prevention solutions.

Ensure adherence to internal control procedures, supervise SOX compliance, and support audits.

Define and implement policies, procedures, and processes to harmonize all aspects of Capital Support operations, with appropriate flexibility to meet customer / market needs and dynamics.

Identify and understand key areas of organizational change with the ability to recognize and communicate the impact of change to the Capital Support Operations functional team.

Understand and measure team performance for KPI’s (key performance indicators), SLA’s (service level agreements), and IIG’s to drive accountability and achievement of key strategic goals.

Inspire and empower the team to act with speed, agility and accountability enabling them to achieve excellence.

Completion of special project assignments as required.

Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required. A Bachelors business or related degree is preferred.

5+ years’ experience preferred across commercial contract operations such as: contracts, chargebacks, analytics, finance, policy and process development, continuous improvement, or a sales support role

3+ years’ experience in leading teams is preferred, strong understanding of business process / operations and key relationships with sales leadership and external customers

Strong technical skills in applications such as Excel, Qlik, Access, Business Intelligence, Vistex, SAP, ServiceMax systems along with analytics and reporting solutions experience

Validated ability to quickly establish credibility, trust, and support within all levels of organization

Analytical problem solver with eye for business. Able to evaluate key business drivers and develop clear solution recommendations

Strong project management skills and ability to drive team results

Validated customer centric skills and consistent expectations across team

Ability to stimulate and enable innovative thinking to inspire change and effectiveness through high automation and process excellence. Ability to build and empower a team to achieve well communicated expectations

Strong communications; organizational change experience a plus
