Engineering is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Data Warehouse team. The Data Warehouse team gathers and enables data throughout the organization in order to provide insights into all aspects of CHG's business. This allows our Sales and other business partners to make better informed decisions. As an SDET on the Data Warehouse team you will help build and maintain a data warehouse that helps our business gain insight into its business. You will be an advocate for quality, assisting with architecture and development, and driving best practices for Test Driven Development and continuous delivery via automated testing. This role will report to the Data Warehouse Manager.Your role:- Maintain and improve test automation standards and automation framework.
- Run test automation builds, analyze results, and report issues found. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
- Research solutions for scaling and improving performance
- Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
- Contribute to & maintain upcoming migration to the Cloud
- Professional experience in writing and maintaining test automation
- Professional experience in scripting languages like SQL and in ETL development tools like SSIS
- Familiar with test driven development (TDD) methodology.
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, patient, and flexible, comfortable in a changing environment. Self-starter with the strong ability to manage multiple tasks and project milestones is required.
- Excellent knowledge of current software testing industry tools and standard methodologies
- BA/BS degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years min working in quality assurance with automated testing
- 5+ years testing methodology and tool experience
- Experience with designing and building web automation frameworks preferred
- Proficient with testing SOAP and/or RESTful web services
- Experience using Snowflake or other Cloud technologies
