- Work closely with the Product Owner & Technical Lead to review and provide feedback on functional/non-functional requirements to ensure quality is built into the product from the start.
- Ensure stories reach the definition of ready, user stories are testable and quality / testing issues are discussed during product backlog grooming and sprint planning.
- Get stories to the definition of done by either leading testing, pair testing with software engineers or reviewing testing activities that software engineers have performed.
- Understand the big picture, then adapt and define test plans for new features and incremental improvements.
- Support the development of standards/tools/techniques for Automated Testing.
- Employ automated testing techniques, particularly to support regression testing and automate the CI/CD pipeline.
- Use source control and bug tracking tools to collaborate and communicate with the team.
- Contribute to global QE org's continuous improvement and quality processes.
- Proactively monitor production data of the application using monitoring tools such as New Relic, DataDog, Sentry, Crashlytics, or the like to define quality metrics and drive continuous improvement of our systems.
- BS Computer Science, or a relevant combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience, including:
- Interest in improving mobile-specific QA skills and techniques
- Effective verbal communication skills to communicate project state
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum development and test methodologies
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to manage priorities
- Demonstrated ability to actively contribute to a diverse, cross-functional team
- Alignment with the core Digimarc values of being curious, courageous, and collaborative
- Knowledge of Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure), Microservices, Distributed Systems,
- Experience of Testing In Production' (Monitoring, Observability, Analyzing customer production data)
- Experience of DevOps Tooling and Non-functional testing (Performance, Security)
