Entry Level Assistant Manager - Stratford Proper (Salt Lake City)

Stratford Proper is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our Front of House Management team in an entry level capacity. Early morning shifts and evening closing shifts are available, with full or part time hours.

Job duties will include but not be limited to:

 Managing FOH staff during a 6-8 hour service shift

 Assisting the General Manager with hiring staff

 Administer disciplinary actions (write-ups, warnings, etc.) as needed

 Enter daily inventory and sales numbers into an Excel spreadsheet

 Assist with planning and execution of special events

 Assist with staff education, training and scheduling

 Complete weekly orders for the restaurant as needed

 Find coverage for shifts as needed

 Ensure that the restaurant is clean and in working order, to Proper standards

Requirements for this position are:

 At least 1 year of restaurant or equivalent serving experience

 Fluent in the use of Excel

 Some beer knowledge

 Have the level one Cicerone Certification (Certified Beer Server exam) within 60 days of hire

 Have a valid Utah Alcohol Server Training certificate or be willing to obtain one within 30 days of hire

 Have a valid food handlers permit or be willing to obtain one within 30 days of hire

 Must be willing to work days, nights and weekends.

Wage is hourly, $14-$16/hr based on experience with health insurance benefits available after 60 days of hire. Opportunities for advancement are available for the right candidate.
