Looking for a part-time receptionist / administrative assistant for a small law firm that practices mostly family law.

Nice offices in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, near Trax and bus stops.

Work hours would be weekdays, about 20 hours per week.

Hourly wage based on education, skills, and experience.

Job Duties include:

#1: Maintaining client confidentiality

Greeting guests

Answering phones

Maintaining pleasant & professional demeanor

Screening phone calls and doing intake for potential new clients

Communicating with clients, court clerks, other lawyers and their staff, etc.

Transcribing audio into writing

Scanning documents

Organizing files (both electronic files and hard paper files)

Picking up mail, and receiving packages and other hand deliveries

Assisting paralegals and lawyers with light clerical work

Cleaning up conference rooms after meetings

Watering plants twice each week

Washing handful of dishes about twice each week

Ordering and picking up lunches about once per week

Making deliveries to other local offices about once every other week

Job Requirements:

Integrity & honesty

Positive attitude

Capacity to listen to and be patient with clients going through a divorce or family law dispute

Willingness to learn

High school education, or more

Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Google Calendar

Familiarity with Email, Internet, and Multi-Line Phone Systems

Enthusiasm for helping clientele from all walks of life, including members of the LGBTQ community

Not Required, but Preferred:

Familiarity with Utah Courts E-Filing system

Experience in family law, especially Utah family law

Being a Notary Public

Proficiency with Spanish or other languages

Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, QuickBooks, and/or Microsoft Excel
