DonorConnect seeks a Transportation Coordinator. This position offers above average hourly pay, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a great company. This is an excellent position for students or others with a flexible schedule. Work hours will include nights and some weekends. Hours are not guaranteed, but likely consist of 2 to 8 hours per week. This position also requires exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
Under the supervision of the Transportation Manager:
Coordinates with on-call organ and tissue coordinators to provide needed transportation services such as organ personnel, biological samples, and supplies. Performs additional duties as assigned or required, assumes responsibility for performing all "on-call" shifts as assigned, and seeks assistance from and notifies AOC of any issues as necessary.
Assumes responsibility for maintaining TSA registration, driver license, and other licenses/certifications, as necessary.
All employees are expected to be professional, polite, and positive; assume good intent, be respectful, supportive, share expertise, and facilitate team interactions. Behavior is consistent with IDS values and is reflected both inside and outside the organization.
Qualifications: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and possess a valid Utah driver's license with a good DMV report. Applicants must be able to report to DonorConnect within 30 minutes when they are on-call.
Education:
High School Diploma
Chauffeur's license required within 90 days of employment
Required Experience:
Excellent driving record
Previous courier experience preferred
Positions with high levels of interpersonal interaction and communication
Minimum 5 years of routine driving experience
Required knowledge:
Awareness of fastest routes to hospitals, labs, and airports
Awareness of types of transportation needs for IDS tissue and organ cases
Skills/Abilities:
Defensive driving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
