Software Engineer II - MAX TeamLocation: Salt Lake City, UTThe Software Engineer II designs, develops, tests and maintains the NICE inContact software platform. Key responsibilities include the design and development of NICE inContact products and features, unit testing, code reviews, resolving defects encountered during the QA cycle, supporting the production environment, and assisting other developers in a team environment utilizing agile development processes. MAX is a contact-handling web application that enables you to interact with contacts using phone calls, voicemail, email, chat, work items. MAX also supports the simultaneous use of multiple channels.As you handle an interaction, MAX offers several tools to enhance your experience. You can transfer interactions to other agents or skills, conference with the contact and another agent, place the contact on hold, disposition and tag the interaction to categorize it, and create reminders to reach the contact again at a later time. You can use the address book to quickly place calls, generally within your own organization.The MAX team is currently assigned to new feature development work and maintaining the quality of the product. To be a member of the MAX team we need you to have knowledge of multiple web technologies, primarily, such as React, Typescript, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS. There are opportunities to utilize/learn various libraries such as node.js, tinyMCE, Globalsize. Additionally, we utilize the likes of Storybook & React for building future UI component workflows and assets. Sr. Software Engineers may also work with our QA team in producing and enhancing Playright & Cypress automation test suites to help improve quality. The MAX agent application uses AWS technologies & Github repositories for deploying in a CI/CD DevOps model.If you are looking for a home for your web application development skills and are up for a truly challenging, satisfying and upwardly mobile team, then the MAX team is for you.As a Software Engineer II, a Typical Day Might Include the Following:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience is required.
- 3+ years experience in software development
- Well established technical problem-solving skills.
- Experience in many of the following software languages: C# and/or Java, JavaScript, React, Typescript, HTML, CSS
- Experience designing, developing, deploying and supporting RESTful APIs.
- Experience with the Microsoft Suite (.NET Framework, Visual Studio) or other similar open source software stacks
- Experience with developing services, clients and multi-threaded software.
- Experience developing with SQL Server or equivalent
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Working knowledge of unit testing and test automation
- Working knowledge of user stories and use cases
- Working knowledge of object-oriented software design and design patterns.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with automation/testing tools
- Experience with/knowledge of agile development processes
- Experience as a technical or team lead
- Experience working in a CI/CD Environment
