Business Objects Reports Developer

Job Description

• Review and accept each report specification for development
• Lead and drive the development of technical report solutions using Business Objects reports in our BOBJ Web Intelligence BI Platform 4.2 patch 8 environment
• Analyze, profile, and map fields to deliver reports in accordance with best practices and design standards
• Perform research, resolve issues, and support the delivery of reports to business customers
• Communicate and facilitate clearly with team members and business owners
• Champion ideas and sell them to others
• Complete comprehensive unit testing ensuring reports have appropriate content to meet the business need
• Work independently in a team environment to complete needed assignments
• Actively participate as a member of the Agile team
• Take ownership of issues through resolution, including working across teams
• Understand and recommend when to create filters & measure in the Universe vs. in a specific report.
• Present completed report to Agile team, report owner and stakeholders
• Prepare statuses, update automated tracking tools and reports as needed

• Requires a Bachelors' degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field
• 4+ years' experience with SAP Business Objects as a report developer
• SQL for data profiling, and strong knowledge for navigating databases to support reporting
• Agile experience (SAFe methodology preferred)
• Some banking knowledge preferred
• Requires extensive unit testing experience
• Requires strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with both management and employees
• Highly motivated individual who will take ownership of assigned deliverables
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
• Working knowledge of databases and data structures, experience with operational data stores and/or enterprise data warehouses preferred
• Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps (ADO) tools preferred
