Hands-on Engineering Manager (remote)Anywhere, USADirect HirePay Range: $150K - $180KJob Description:Our client is a leader in building SaaS for workplace software solutions. They are scaling at a rapid pace and are looking for a senior hands-on Engineering Manager that will lead their software engineering team that consists of Frontend, Backend, and QA experts. Experience leading and building go-to-market SaaS products in microservices-based architecture is required! You will report directly to the VP of Engineering but will also will have come from a senior developer background and be willing to jump in and code when required. Java, Scala, JavaScript is the preferred stack for your experience.Required Skills:- 5+ years of experience working in a SaaS enterprise
- 5+ years of managing large-scale systems development
- Hands on experience with Java/Spring Boot
- MicroServices and Kafka
- Python skills and experience moving an app from Python to Java
- Object-Oriented and Functional programming, best practices, and testing methodologies
- Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL) and relational databases
- Experience with the AWS ecosystem, containers, Kubernetes, and CI/CD
- In-depth knowledge of build/release systems, CI/CD systems (Buildkite, Codefresh, CircleCI, etc.)
- Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, StatusCake, Sentry, New Relic
- Experience with Git
- Expertise in one or more frontend technologies like:JavaScript / Typescript / React / GraphQL / Flux / Redux / HTML / CSS
- IoT/SVLive
- Ability to quickly learn new and existing technologies
- Willingness to take responsibility, accountability, and ownership
- Willingness to work outside of normal working hours to complete mission critical tasks
- Outstanding communication and influencing abilities, paired with strong team leadership
- BS in Computer Science or Equivalent Experience
